CALPUFF View - Working with External Source Files
When an air dispersion modeling project requires emission variations that do not follow a repeating schedule, it can be a challenge to input the data to the model. Both AERMOD and CALPUFF come equipped with variable emissions options, but the options for temporally-varying emissions are fixed to repeating schedules (e.g., same hours every day or season, whole months, etc.).

Importing Base Maps into Lakes Software Applications
High quality base maps can be important to any air dispersion modeling project. These maps provide locational context to project data and improve the overall display of modeled results. Lakes Environmental Software applications – including AERMOD View, CALPUFF View, CALRoads View, and AUSTAL View – contain multiple ways to bring imagery into a project.

CALPUFF View - Modeling Roads
The CALPUFF modeling system does not feature a native source type for mobile sources (e.g., vehicles). One way to treat these emissions in the model is to calculate the cumulative emissions of all vehicles which drive on a road and parameterize the road itself into the model as the source. With the introduction of CALPUFF’s Version 7 Modeling System and the release of CALPUFF View Version 8.2.0, users have a few options as to how to model these sources in CALPUFF.
