Using Annotations in Lakes Software Applications
One feature of Lakes Software applications that our users have come to appreciate, is the wealth of customization options available to provide high quality visualization of model output. Beyond the usual drawing tools for adding model objects, each application contains a set of Annotation Tools which allow users to add additional objects to the main display.

IRAP-h View - Identifying COPCs
IRAP-h View, the Lakes-developed interface for conducting multi-pathway health risk assessment in accordance with the U.S. EPA OSW Human Health Risk Assessment Protocol (HHRAP), can analyze impacts from hundreds of unique compounds of potential concern (COPC. Compounds include metals, organic compounds which survive the combustion process, and organic compounds which are formed immediately after combustion. There is no universal list of COPCs and should be selected based upon stack testing and facility-specific process information.

IRAP-h View - Identifying Risk Receptors
When conducting a human health risk assessment according to the U.S. EPA-OSW Human Health Risk Assessment Protocol (HHRAP), Chapter 4 of the protocol provides direction on evaluating ‘exposure scenarios’ in order to estimate the type and magnitude of human exposure to emissions from compounds of potential concern (COPC). These ‘exposure scenarios’ include adult and child farmers, residents, and fishers.routines for grouping sources or analyzing individual source contributions, but it can be a challenge in some systems.
